The English Department

at Archbishop Carroll High School

The English Department at Archbishop Carroll High School offers a four year sequential program tailored to the academic ability of each student.  This veteran department challenges each student to develop and refine interpretive and expressive skills in a broad spectrum of literature, grammar, writing enhancement, and vocabulary.

By blending the finest of classical and contemporary thought and expression, teachers are able to deal with structural, philosophical, and moral situations that literature presents.  Students receive a liberal arts education in the finest sense.
