Carroll50 celebration concludes with weekend events, including special Mass
Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, will culminate its Carroll50 celebration with events the weekend of Apr. 28-29.
Saturday, Apr. 28, the school will host a 50th anniversary party, including dinner and dancing featuring Chico’s Vibe, from 6 to 10 p.m. On Sunday, Apr. 29, an anniversary Mass and reception will be featured from 2 to 4 p.m. Bishop Michael J. Fitzgerald, auxiliary bishop of the Archbishop of Philadelphia, will be the principal celebrant of the Mass.
The party will be held in Carroll’s East Gymnasium. The Mass will be held in Carroll’s auditorium with a reception to follow in the East Gymnasium. Read more
The celebration formally began when The Most Reverend Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M., Cap., D.D., Archbishop of Philadelphia, celebrated Mass at Carroll (highlights below). During his homily, he said, “We are asking the Holy Spirit to be with us strongly during the academic year. One of the things I hope we learn in our Catholic schools is to love the right things.” Read mor
