Michelle Gatta (left) has been named Director of Admissions at Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, while Jennifer Crawford (right) will serve as Assistant Director of Admissions.

Gatta spent five years in Admissions at Valley Forge Military Academy and College in Wayne, Penn., rising to Director of Academy Admissions.  She also worked with the Director of Guidance at Sacred Heart Academy in Bryn Mawr, Penn., and was an executive assistant with Solomon Edwards Group, a financial consulting service in Tysons Corners, Va.

“My goal is for our Admissions department to be the welcoming face to the wide-open arms of the entire Carroll community, for any student and his or her family who wants a holistic education based on academic excellence, faith, and success for the future,” Gatta said.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, and a Master of Education at Villanova University.

Since 2015, Crawford has been an English teacher at Carroll, instructing two sections of AP English Literature and Composition.  She also taught at Holy Rosary Regional Catholic School and Epiphany of Our Lord School, both in Plymouth Meeting, Penn.

“We have a dynamic new team in place,” said Francis E. Fox, Carroll president.  “Michelle’s experience as a successful admissions leader will help bolster our enrollment.  She knows what students and families are looking for in secondary education and will help to assist them through the admissions process.

“It is also a moment to celebrate the advancement of one of our own.  Jennifer graduated from Carroll 11 years ago and has been a Carroll faculty member since 2015.  She knows our students and our school inside and out, and her presence in Admissions will be the perfect complement to Michelle.”

Crawford, a 2007 Carroll graduate, received a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree with a concentration in English from Villanova University, and a Master of Education from Cabrini University in Radnor.

“As a Carroll alumna, I look forward to giving back to the community that shaped my character, faith life and academic path. The Archbishop John Carroll community cares about each student and allows them to grow into their best self,” Crawford said.

Gatta’s start date is Sept. 12; Crawford’s is Sept. 4.
