Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap., archbishop of Philadelphia, will be the principal celebrant at a Mass in the Archbishop John Carroll High School auditorium on Friday, Sept. 22, at 9 a.m., marking the official start of Carroll’s 50th anniversary celebration (#CARROLL50).

“We are honored to have Archbishop Chaput on campus at this extraordinary moment in Carroll’s history,” said Carroll president Francis E. Fox. “We have several special events planned throughout the school year as we celebrate Carroll’s history and plan for continued success in the future.”

Carroll’s inaugural Hall of Fame event will be Saturday, Oct. 7, with the induction of Barry Kirsch, who for 50 years has played a significant role at Carroll as a teacher, Pro-Life moderator and coach.

Saturday, Apr. 28, 2018, will be a day filled with athletic and arts events, music with Chico’s Vibe and a fireworks display. The next day, #CARROLL50 will conclude with an outdoor Mass on the football field for about 2,000 people, celebrated by Bishop Michael J. Fitzgerald, auxiliary bishop to Archbishop Chaput.

“This promises to be a wonderful celebration and we will continue to add events in the coming months,” Fox said.
