Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, will culminate its Carroll50 celebration with events the weekend of Apr. 28-29.
Saturday, Apr. 28, the school will host a 50th anniversary party, including dinner and dancing featuring Chico’s Vibe, from 6 to 10 p.m. On Sunday, Apr. 29, an anniversary Mass and reception will be featured from 2 to 4 p.m. Bishop Michael J. Fitzgerald, auxiliary bishop of the Archbishop of Philadelphia, will be the principal celebrant of the Mass.
The party will be held in Carroll’s East Gymnasium. The Mass will be held in Carroll’s auditorium with a reception to follow in the East Gymnasium.
Many Christian Brothers, archdiocesan and religious order priests, women religious and former faculty and staff who served at Carroll are expected to attend the Mass.
“As we conclude our 50th anniversary celebration, Carroll remains committed to excellence in the spiritual, academic and social development of our exceptional students, who come from every county in the Philadelphia region,” said Francis E. Fox, Carroll president and a member of the Carroll Class of 1977.
Cardinal John Krol blessed and dedicated Archbishop John Carroll High School on Apr. 28, 1968. The school is located on Philadelphia’s historic Main Line, where the Sisters of St. Joseph, diocesan priests and lay faculty have prepared and educated thousands of young women and men who continue to go forth, making a difference beyond the walls of Carroll.
Kevin Connor, Class of 1978, and Jane Morro Mullany and Hank Mullany, Class of 1976, are co-chairs of the event.
