Relive the Carroll50 Celebration
On Saturday, April 28, over 600 Carroll alums, former and current faculty and staff, parents, and more joined us and danced through the night with Chico’s Vibe while reminiscing over memories from the past 50 years.
On Sunday, April 29, hundreds of members of the Carroll community came together in prayer with Bishop Michael J. Fitzgerald who honored our namesake Archbishop John Carroll and reminded us of the importance of Catholic education.
Carroll50 celebration honors our storied history
Close to 1,000 people converged on the Archbishop John Carroll High School campus Apr. 28-29, marking the successful conclusion to the Carroll50 celebration.
Alumni, current and former faculty and staff, and Carroll families, filled the gym Saturday night for a party that was months in the planning. Guests enjoyed dinner and dancing to live music performed by Chico’s Vibe.
This really reinforced our Carroll identity,” said Jane Morro Mullany ’76, an event co-chair. “Everyone was such in good spirits and happy to be there. That was our number one goal, and we accomplished that.”
Co-chair Hank Mullany ’76, said the entire weekend was incredible, “Thanks to the team and President Frank Fox’s vision. “We engaged a lot of people, and the campus looked fantastic.” Kevin Connor ’78, also served as co-chair of the event. Read more
Carroll50 celebration concludes with weekend events, including special Mass
Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, will culminate its Carroll50 celebration with events the weekend of Apr. 28-29.
Saturday, Apr. 28, the school will host a 50th anniversary party, including dinner and dancing featuring Chico’s Vibe, from 6 to 10 p.m. On Sunday, Apr. 29, an anniversary Mass and reception will be featured from 2 to 4 p.m. Bishop Michael J. Fitzgerald, auxiliary bishop of the Archbishop of Philadelphia, will be the principal celebrant of the Mass.
The party will be held in Carroll’s East Gymnasium. The Mass will be held in Carroll’s auditorium with a reception to follow in the East Gymnasium. Read more
The celebration formally began when The Most Reverend Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M., Cap., D.D., Archbishop of Philadelphia, celebrated Mass at Carroll (highlights below). During his homily, he said, “We are asking the Holy Spirit to be with us strongly during the academic year. One of the things I hope we learn in our Catholic schools is to love the right things.” Read more
