Archbishop John Carroll High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Kaitlyn Buchanan as Assistant Principal for Student Services.

A six-year faculty member and a 2008 graduate of Archbishop Carroll, Mrs. Buchanan will be responsible for the safety and security of everyone in the school; attendance, and discipline; organizing and running safety and security drills; she will oversee the school nurse and student medical issues, and will supervise the Guidance Office and student socio-emotional counseling matters.

Our Discipline Code, which has as its basic purpose the teaching of responsibility to God, self and others, is where Mrs. Buchanan’s experience as a teacher and former-student will be most valued by students and teachers.

Mrs. Buchanan graduated from West Chester University in West Chester, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in History, a minor in Studio Art, and a Social Studies certification.  She is pursuing a master’s degree in Educational Leadership with Principal Certification from St. Joseph’s University and she is a member of the second cohort of the Maguire Fellowship Program.

“The administration has made the perfect choice in selecting Mrs. Buchanan as Carroll’s new APSS.  Mrs. Buchanan is universally respected by the faculty and students alike, and will set the tone for best in class in student services,” said President Frank Fox ‘77.

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Buchanan on her appointment and wishing her very best in his new position.
