Carroll’s new Cheerleading coach comes by way of Widener University.  Brianna Cunningham of Aldan, Penn., cheered for the Pride for four years, and was captain of the squad her senior year.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts/Science in Early Elementary Education and Special Education degree from Widener in 2014.  She graduated from Cardinal O’Hara High School, Springfield, Penn.

“I am looking forward to the challenge of building a successful cheer program at Carroll,” Cunningham said.  “Cheerleading has always been a passion of mine and I am eager to get started and begin to build positive relationships with our student-athletes and the Carroll community.”

Cunningham has worked with the Cardinal O’Hara High School cheerleading squad and coached the cheerleaders at St. Joseph Elementary School in Collingdale, Penn.

“We are thrilled to announce the hiring of Ms. Brianna Cunningham, as our new head cheerleading coach at Archbishop Carroll High School,” said Carroll Athletic Director Thomas Quintois.  “Coach Cunningham is a positive leader who has an extensive background in cheer.  Her strong character and vison for the program align perfectly with the high standards of the Carroll Cheer program.”
