Archbishop John Carroll High School President Francis E. Fox ’77 has announced the appointment of Courtney Peters as Director of Communications. She will be responsible for all internal and external communications, managing Carroll’s social media platforms and the Carroll website, as well as capturing campus life and its stories.
Peters is a 2005 graduate of the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur High School and a 2009 graduate of Ursinus College, where she earned her degree in English with a minor in Education and Teacher Certification.
Following graduation from Ursinus, she taught English Language Arts in Philadelphia urban and suburban schools. In 2014, she found her home at Archbishop Carroll, teaching Honors and Advanced Placement English.
“Courtney is a great addition to our team,” Fox said. “Her Carroll experience and understanding of our school’s culture and storied history is a real benefit. She has an excellent feel for what is happening at Carroll, as she works to communicate our student body’s faith lives along with their many academic, arts, and athletic achievements.”
“I always wanted to be a teacher, and although I will miss instructing English at Carroll, I look forward to my continued involvement in the Carroll Community as Director of Communications, helping to tell Carroll’s wonderful story,” Peters said. “If you have a Carroll news story, student or staff highlight, alumni story, or have heard something share-worthy throughout the year, I would love to hear from you!”
“Please join me in welcoming Courtney to her new position at Carroll. To stay up to date on Carroll happenings and highlights throughout the upcoming year, be sure to follow the Patriot Post e-newsletter; as well as Archbishop Carroll on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter,” Fox said.
