FACTS Tuition Management
Archbishop Carroll, as an Archdiocesan High School, has partnered with FACTS Tuition Management to manage tuition and fee payments for families. The Tuition Office will enroll families in FACTS. Families will then choose the payment plan and method that is most convenient. The four payment plan options are listed below. Additionally, families with students transferring to Carroll in the middle of the school year will be billed a pro-rated tuition based on the time of enrollment.

2022-2023 Tuition Information
Archbishop Carroll is an Archdiocesan secondary school; therefore, the tuition is determined by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Tuition costs are announced in January for the upcoming school year. The school fees are determined by Archbishop Carroll and announced at the same time as the tuition. The tuition and fee schedule for each school year is sent to registered students in the winter prior to the school year for which it applies.
- The tuition for all classes for the 2022-23 school year is $9,050 a year.

Many opportunities are available for financial assistance for families applying to Archbishop John Carroll High School. Once your application is complete and you are accepted to Archbishop Carroll, you are then eligible to complete the FACTS application for financial aid.
These opportunities use both income and need-based criteria.
The application for Financial Aid is available through FACTS, the same website you use to pay tuition. Visit https://online.factsmgt.com/aid to apply online.
After completing their application, families will be provided options (mail, fax, or online upload) for submitting their supporting tax documents (2020 tax return; FACTS will contact families who do not file a tax return to confirm what documents they need to provide).

- Priority deadline: 12/31/22. Applications after this date are reviewed on a rolling basis.

SCRIP and Tuition Credit Program
Archbishop Carroll SCRIP helps parents earn tuition credits!
We welcome all of our parents, relatives, and friends of Archbishop Carroll to participate in our Scrip Program. Simply purchase gift cards through the Archbishop Carroll Scrip Program for a variety of stores and restaurants to earn tuition credit. Tuition credit can be used towards payment of your child's tuition or school fee. This can be anything from ACME, to Bath & Body Works, to Wawa!

You can always email or call in your order to pick up actual cards if you do not register online. Did You Know? 529 Plans Can Be Used!
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which was signed into law in December 2017, allows families to use your 529 plans to pay for up to $10,000 in tuition expenses at elementary or secondary public, private or parochial schools. Scholarships and Grants for Incoming Freshmen
Science Scholarship Closed
A $2,500 scholarship will be granted to two students who have a 94 or better final grade for Science in 7th grade and who exhibit a strong potential for the successful pursuit of a career in STEM. To apply please send a recommendation letter from a Science or Math leader to [email protected]. Due date is November 15, 2022.
Technology Scholarship Closed
A $2,500 scholarship will be granted to two students who exhibit a strong potential for the successful pursuit of a career in Technology. The student will be required to be a part of Technology related clubs at Archbishop Carroll. Students should write a short essay (250-500 words) explaining why they are interested in pursuing the field of technology and submit to [email protected]. Due date is November 15, 2022.
Business and Leadership Scholarship Closed
A $2500 scholarship will be granted to two young entrepreneurs, who exhibit strong leadership ability and a desire to pursue business. In addition to academic ability, each applicant’s entrepreneurial experience, leadership talent, and involvement in extracurricular community activities is taken into account when reviewing candidates. Students should write a short essay (250-500 words) explaining their experience with business, leadership, and/or entrepreneurship. Due date is November 15, 2022.
Scouts Scholarship Closed
A $2,500 scholarship will be granted to two students who have been a part of Scouts of America for at least two years. This grant is renewable each of the four years at Carroll, provided that the student continues with the Scout program. Verification will be asked for each year. To apply, please send a Scout leader recommendation letter, along with troop information to [email protected]. Due date is November 15, 2022.
Salute to Service Grant Closed
A $2,500 scholarship will be granted to two students who have a parent or primary guardian who is an active-duty military member, an active or retired law enforcement employee or firefighter, and/or a military branch veteran. This grant is renewable each of the four years at Carroll, but the student must have an overall 7th grade average of a 94 or better. To apply, please send the parent or guardian service information to [email protected]. Due date is November 15, 2022.
Lisa Ritter Catholic Identity Grant Closed
A $2,500 scholarship will be granted to two students who have a 94 or better final grade for Religion in 7th grade and who have been active in youth ministry for at least two years; an example of this would be serving as an altar server or participating in a youth group. To apply please send a recommendation letter from a pastor or youth group leader to [email protected] Due date is November 15, 2022.
Lawrence J. Nowlan Scholarship for the Arts
The Lawrence J. Nowlan Scholarship for the Arts is offered for all disciplines of performing and visual arts. Rising 9th-grade students must submit a completed application and a piece of work or record of performance. More information can be found on the SchoolAdmin application portal. This scholarship will open on October 1 and is due January 3, 2023.
Archdiocese of Philadelphia and Other Foundation Scholarships
There are a number of scholarships available through the Archdiocese and outside foundations, including but not limited to:
- The Monsignor John Mitchell Scholarship
Monsignor Mitchell served as a priest of the Archdiocese from 1939 through 1981. During that time, he was the Pastor of Saint Ignatius of Loyola and Saint Francis de Sales Parishes in West Philadelphia, where he was known for his faithful ministry to African American Catholics. In light of this, the Monsignor Mitchell Scholarship Fund supports high school students in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia who are Catholic and African American, with academic ability and financial need. One (or more, if economically feasible) one-year scholarship(s), up to $2,500, will be awarded annually based upon the determination of the Selection Committee. Student recipients must reapply each year.

- We are happy to announce the online application for the Ellis Trust Tuition Assistance Grant for the 2021/2022 academic year is now open! Girls who are considering attending an Independent or Parochial high school next year are encouraged to apply. REMEMBER: Applicants MUST reapply for funding each year; grants are not automatically renewed. The application DEADLINE is Monday, March 15th.
