A Message from President Scott

September 2022

Dear Families,

Welcome Back to Carroll!  We are excited for a  new school year and seeing the hallways full of student energy, excitement, and noise.  It has been too long without the students buzzing through the building.

As I round the corner to year two as President, I often look for a quote to guide me for the year.    This year, I selected “Faith…it does not make things easy, it makes them possible.”  I think this is the perfect quote for our upcoming year.  We have made so many positive strides.  We balanced the budget with a surplus, we exceeded our enrollment projection, we increased our EITC/OSTC funding, and are in the process of updating new learning spaces!

We have a beautiful new Stations of the Cross walkway as you enter the Carroll driveway.  Soon, as the sun goes down, you will see this walkway light up as you enter and exit.  Please take a moment and walk through this amazing faith-filled space, generously donated and designed by our Alum, Eddie Morris (Class of ‘76).  I hope to see students, faculty and community use this space for reflection and inspiration.

Carroll has a new Main Entrance!  As you come up the driveway, all visitors will now park on the first parking lot on the right (immediately after our Stations of the Cross).  This is also the main student parking lot.  We will continue to work on Carroll’s main entrance as we start the year.  As you enter the new main doors, you will be greeted by Mrs. Lisa Dunn and Mrs. Barbie Volpe, our new front entrance administrative assistants.  Our handicapped entrance will be Entrance B (President Office’s entrance). Ms. Cathy O’Keefe will answer this door if needed.  Entrance A (the old Main Entrance) will no longer be an entrance for any visitors.  Improving campus facilities to provide a safe AND top-notch experience for students remains a focus.

Carroll’s Music department returned to the original music space!  We are working around the clock to make this space ready to go, but it will take some additional time in September.

Over the summer, ten offices changed locations!  So when you enter, you will need to stop by the front office to get directions!  Our Advancement Office welcomed Brianne Branco to the team. With our established Institutional Advancement Office, led by Greg Brinn, Carroll will work diligently on a higher level of stewardship and innovative annual appeals.  Always keeping in mind that our incentive for all we do is to create a robust academic program and a high quality student experience.

We believe Carroll transforms lives by guiding students to develop the best versions of themselves as they prepare for the next journey into adulthood. And with a strong sense of faith, we know it will not be easy, but it will all be possible.

As always, I am grateful to be part of this Carroll community,
