Why Choose Carroll

Founded in 1967, Archbishop Carroll is a Catholic, coeducational, college preparatory school located in Radnor, Pennsylvania.

Community and collaboration are at the core of the School’s faith-based education and reflected every day in the warm, welcoming atmosphere on campus. Archbishop Carroll challenges each student to achieve excellence in a nurturing, inclusive community. Our teachers, parents, and administrators work together to inspire our students to be strong, responsible members of society, who live out the Carroll CARES attitude in all that they do.

Today we serve 650 students in grades 9 through 12, hailing from 80 zip codes. Set on a stunning 55-acre hilltop in the Main Line, our central location brings together a diverse community that fosters compassion and respect.  With students from more than 30 local towns, we value the diversity and multiculturalism of our community. The geographic, cultural, and socioeconomic diversity of our student body creates a unique and dynamic learning environment that fosters a greater appreciation of not only our individual differences but also the values we share. Our purpose-built facilities provide an idyllic setting for students to learn, work, and socialize.

Archbishop Carroll is at the forefront of educational models and practices that excite students about learning. Course offerings and academic initiatives are collaborative and interdisciplinary, driven by the most up-to-date research.  These programs offer Carroll’s students educational opportunities that are unique, engaging, and relevant to life in the 21st century.

Our graduates have matriculated to some of the country's best universities. And beyond college, our alumni have gone on to change the world in a profound way.
